With sprayers getting bigger, consideration needs to be given to reducing time spent filling up sprayers from the main as on a lot of farms the mains water pressure is lower. These self-supporting horizontal tanks are rotationally moulded from UV stabilised MDPE medium density polyethene. Assembling spray lines and washing through can take an immense amount of time, often running in several hours or a day resulting in many acres of fields unsprayed. Care should be taken regarding the weights of the tank on the trailer as fertilizer can be up to 40% heavier than water. Can I mount a horizontal tank on to a trailer? Horizontal tanks can be mounted directly onto a trailer by using the mounting pins in the legs of the tank and by supporting the spine of the tank.  This allows the tanks to be mounted onto site tow and slow tow trailers for the sprayer season or for permanent mounting. Can sprayer tanks be used for rainwater harvesting? Sprayer water tanks are often used in conjunction with rainwater harvesting. Rainwater harvesting is a way to collect rainwater that falls on the roof of barns and sheds saving money on mains supply water.  These tanks are available with a range of rainwater filters for collecting moss and leaves.
